Carilyn Rainey is a discerning and dedicated attorney with remarkable interpersonal skills. Spending her childhood in Cuba has given her a deep appreciation for the freedoms and rights we enjoy in America, and a passion for defending them. With a special dedication to children and those in need, she is a fierce advocate for justice and equal opportunity. Her experiences and skills make Carilyn uniquely qualified to communicate, and facilitate communication, between social, cultural, and age divides.
Carilyn left Cuba at age 9, and grew up in Southern Oklahoma, graduating from Ardmore High School and then graduating with honors from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters. She worked with high school students through the Young Life Association, and was the co-founder of the Spanish American Law Student Association (SALSA). Carilyn returned to college and studied at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, while participating twice in a legal studies program at Oxford University, Queen’s College in Oxford, England. There she met fellow student and future husband, Rob Rainey. They both obtained their law degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
